Objective and tasks
§ To promote the triathlon sport in the city and Lithuania.
§ To identify the best athletes.
Management:
Competitions are organised by Kaunas Triathlon Club “Vilnis“, Kaunas Swimming School and the Lithuanian Triathlon Federation.
The general competition judge is Sonata Ramoškevičiūtė
Competition time and place
The triathlon competitions take place on 27 April 2013 at Kaunas swimming pool “Vilija“ (Demokratų st. 34a, Kaunas) and on Nemunas Circuit (Nemuno žiedas) in Kačerginė.
Participants can register by e-mail sonata_ramoskeviciute@yahoo.com (in case of any questions call +370 682 21875).
The registration must be completed until 3 p.m. of 26 April 2013 (at the time of registration please provide the anticipated swimming time in writing).
Registration time (number and microchip pick-up): from 8.00 a.m. till 9.20 a.m.
Warm-up at the pool starts at 9.30 a.m. The competition starts at 10.00 a.m.
Warm-up on Kačerginė Nemunas Circuit starts at 2.00 p.m. The competition starts at 2.30 p.m.
Programme:
The 1st distance: Aquathlon, swimming 100 m - running 0.5 km (1 lap)
Athletes born in 2005- 2004 (M1, B1), 2003-2002 (M2, B2) and 2001-2000 ( M3, B3),
The 2nd distance: swimming 200 m - cycling 9.9 km (3 laps) - running 2 km (1 lap)
Athletes born in 1999-1998 (juvenile, girls JČ1, boys JČ2), 1997-1996 (junior, girls JN1, boys JN2), 1963-1954 (women V3, men V4), 1953 and older (women P1, men P2) and amateurs (women A1, men A2)
The 3rd distance: swimming 750 m - cycling 19.8 km (6 laps) - running 3.3 km (1 lap)
Athletes born in 1995-1994 (youth, women J1, men J2), Elite 1993-1974 (women E1, men E2) and 1973-1964 (women V1, men V2).

2003 – 2002 (girls M2, boys B2)
2001 – 2000 (girls M3, boys B3),
1999 – 1998 (juvenile, girls JČ1, boys JČ2)
1997– 1996 (junior, merginos JN1, vaikinai JN2)
1995 – 1994 (youth, women J1, men J2)
1993 – 1974 (Elite, women E1, men E2)
1973 – 1964 (veterans, women V1, men V2)
1963 – 1954 (veterans, women V3, men V4)
1953 and older (veterans, women P1, men P2)
Amateurs (women A1, men A2)
The start times of the cycling and running event:
The 1st distance 02.45 p.m.
The 2nd distance 03.05 p.m.
The 3rd distance 04.15 p.m.
During 750 m swimming event two athletes shall share one lane. Athletes shall start swimming from water.
3. The rules of competitions
§ Athletes shall swim wearing swimming trunks for men and swimming suits for women currently allowed in swimming competitions.
§ During the bicycle race the athletes must wear cycling helmets.
§ Athletes are allowed to ride sports and mountain bikes.
§ Only the representatives of one gender may ride in a group.
§ Participants who cross the competition route prior to fully completing the distance will be disqualified.
§ During the competition the external help to athletes is not allowed.
§ All willing can start in the Elite group however they loose the right to the award in their age group.
§ In the case of untimely unfastening of helmets, crossing of mix zone line and external help 15 second penalty shall be imposed on athletes (in the running event).
§ In the case when representatives of different gender cycle in a group for the first time the warning shall be given and for the second time athletes will be disqualified by showing them a red card.
§ After the finish athletes must return the microchip.
Start fee:
Elite (E1 and E2 groups) born in 1973 – 1964 and (V1,V2, V3) groups shall pay 45 LTL starting fee and all remaining groups and amateurs shall pay 20 LTL starting fee. 20 percent discount shall be applied to athletes who have a (valid) licence of the Lithuanian Triathlon Federation.
Awards
The participants of the competitions and their prize winners shall be awarded medals and diplomas. The winners and prize winners of the Elite, youth, junior and juvenile groups shall be awarded cups and diplomas.
The winners of the Elite group shall be presented with the money award in the amount of 500 LTL.
Provision
All costs associated with the sending of the athletes to competitions shall be covered by the sending organisation.
